| General Specs: AyA, 1978, .410 Bore, 5lbs 2oz, Chokes F/XF, LOP 14 11/16″, DAH 2 1/2″, DAC 1 5/16″ Serial Number: 517975Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this clean, delightful, and affordable upland gun from AyA, one of Spain’s premier gunmakers well known the world over for making solid, well finished guns. Crafted in 1979, this .410 bore No. 3 is built on AyA’s renowned boxlock action, modeled after the Westley Richards Anson & Deeley design, a benchmark of boxlock elegance since 1875. The No. 3 has been AyA’s standard since 1960, combining British-inspired engineering with Spanish craftsmanship. Weighing a scant 5lbs. 2oz. and balanced nicely just ahead of the hinge pin, you can carry this gun all day with little fatigue. The 27″ barrels are tight on the hinge and breech face, have mirror bores, tight ribs, 99% blue, and are choked with F/XF with 3” chambers. The lever sits tight to the right of center. Moreover, the receiver retains 99% vivid bone and charcoal case color with hand chiseled borders and is in perfect mechanical condition with crisp double triggers, auto safety, and superb screws. This AyA features extractors, so you’ll always know where your empties are! These are known to be supremely reliable guns, and this one is light as a feather so you can carry it around all day with little fatigue.
