Serial Number: 889742What a great find. A 1964 produced nickel plated Detective Special 2nd variation, serial number 889742. This iconic Colt shows 99% factory original nickel with no edge wear, a mirror bore and perfect screws. The cylinder locks up tight, double, and single action are colt smooth at 9.9lbs. and 4.4lbs respectively. The Walnut grips are in solid condition with some handling wear and have silver Colt Medallions. The grips are serial numbered to the gun while the frame bears the INS inspector stamp. Overall, a fantastic example of the desirable and ever so cool Colt Detective Special. Thanks for looking!
