| General Specs: Iranian State Factory, 1950, 8mm Mauser, 8lbs. 13 1/4″ Serial Number: NSN Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Iranian M49, these fine rifles were licensed by Zbrojovka Brno to supply the Iranian military and are regarded by those “in the know” as some of the finest military Mauser action rifles. They became well known for their accuracy once Iranian civilians got hold of them post war. Notably the rifle has the “Persian lion and sun” symbol above the chamber and all markings on the gun are written in Farsi. This example has a mirror bore, retains 90% of its factory finish on the barrel and trigger guard, 95% factory finish on the receiver, and is overall in superb condition. This rifle has all matching serial numbers on the stock, bolt, barrel, and receiver. The serial numbers are written in Farsi translating to 28436, on the side is the date 1328, which is 1950 in the Gregorian calendar. This is a righteous Persian Mauser, which are becoming harder to come by. Don’t hesitate to make the call and put this lion in your collection.
