Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this example of a Remington 1942 manufactured Model 03-A3 rifle, serial number 3513176. All metal parts including the action, magazine base plate, trigger guard and barrel bands are parkerized and in 98% condition with a minimum of handling marks. The mechanics of this rifle are in perfect working order with a smooth action, magazine cutoff and two stage trigger breaking cleanly at 4.4 lbs. The bore has four grooved rifling and is in 9/10 mirror condition and is dated 3/43, Remington switched over to two groove rifling around June 1943, both types shoot well but collectors value the four grooves more. This Remington manufactured 1903-A3 comes with a sling and an original sight protector with a US flaming bomb and R acceptance proofs.
