This example of the Model 700 comes from Remington’s Custom shop, serial number 6531424, it was built circa 1972. Chambered in the very desirable .25-06 caliber (a necked down .30-06) a round known for its high muzzle velocities and flat trajectories without excessive recoil and is suitable for medium-sized game. This C grade Model 700 features a hinged magazine floorplate, jeweled bolt, and custom stock with teardrop cheek piece and Monte Carlo comb, the pistol grip and forend are capped with rosewood, the walnut exhibits fiddleback throughout its length and Skip-Line hand cut checkering remains in perfect custom shop condition. The furniture has its original factory finish, there are just a couple of handling marks. The barrel has a perfect bore and 100% factory bluing.
