Auguste Lebeau Courally of the famed gun making world in Liege, Belgium has been in business since the 1860’s and has gone through only a handful of owners.  Lebeau Courally is considered to be one of the top 3 gunmakers in Liege and has built some of the finest BEST GUNS in the world, all hand-fitted and engraved in stunning detail.  The gun we offer here, an exhibition quality sidelock ejector gun with a round body action that is not often seen but elegantly executed here; it is sn45449 and was built in 1999.  THIS GUN REMAINS NEW AND UNFIRED, WITH NO PRIMER MARKS ON THE STANDING BREECH AND NO MARKS OR SIGNS OF USE ON THE GUN.  Study the high-definition photographs and you will see the most stunning hand-engraved action and trigger guard, perfect mating of wood-to-metal, and true exhibition quality Turkish walnut with elaborate scalloped edge borderless checkering.  The rounded 7-pin sidelock action has a hidden 3rd bite, sculpted bottom of frame, beaded fences, beetle back safety, perfect screws and mechanics, and a coin finish hardened frame.  All of the features you would expect in a BEST GUN are present, to include articulated front trigger, removable striker discs, intercepting safety sears, stocked to the fences, a blank gold oval shield in the belly of the stock, a gold maker’s coat of arms inlaid into the forearm, hand-cut filed rib, and elaborately engraved and signed by Master Engraver (Willy) Janssen.  The specifications of the gun can be seen in the tables below.  The gun weighs 5 pounds 11 ounces and balances 1/8” forward of the hinge pin.  She is housed in a fine oak and leather case complete with accessories and trade label (a $2500 value) and is ready for your shooting pleasure.  A gun of this nature produced and sold in today’s world would cost in the range of $80,000 or more.  This fantastic jewel of the gunmaker’s art can be purchased for a fraction of that cost and will only go up in value as you enjoy its use and your ownership.  Thanks for looking!
