Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Second World War-era Italian handgun. Adopted by the Italian police and Royal Italian Army in 1934, the Beretta Model 1934 served as the standard-issue sidearm for officers and machine-gun crews. Impressed by the Walther PP pistol, the Italian armed forces modified the Model 1934 to fire .32 ACP, leading to the Model 1935. This example, serial number F44079, produced in 1944 while under German occupation following the Armistice of Cassibile. There are the remains of an acceptance mark, a 4UT mark which signifies inspection by the Fourth Technical Control Unit during German occupation in northern Italy.
