THIS GUN IS NOT ONE OF THE ORDINARY REPRODUCTION GUNS, BUT SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL INDEED, SOMETHING OF GREATER VALUE AND INTEREST.  This Parker Reproduction is a special order, limited edition set made exclusively for The National Sporting Fraternity, an interesting group with members all around the world.  You can Google search the Fraternity for more info, but here are some of the details I found from 2006:

“Your Parker repro is one of 100 guns from The National Sporting Fraternity, started by Jim Rikhoff of New Jersey. He worked for Winchester and Winchester press.  I talked to Jim Rikhoff today regarding the NSFL markings.  He did work for Olin-Winchester for 16 years in the 60’s and early 70’s and at the time these guns were being developed he was a friend of the Skeuse family. The NSFL was given the rights to 100 each of the 20 and 28 ga. guns to offer to their members.  They were only offered as DHE 2-barrel sets and were to have upgraded wood.  They were offered to the members in early 1984 and since the only serial numbers were below 100 and appear to be in the normal numbering sequence, these are the first 100 of each gauge.”  What we have here is special in several ways.

-This Parker Repro Set is #82 out of the 100 guns delegated to the National Sporting Fraternity and the 82nd Parker Repro DHE 20ga. ever shipped, circa 1984.  It is marked “N.S.F.L.” on each barrel set.

-As noted in the history we dug up above, this gun has notably higher-grade wood, an exhibition quality black walnut that was part of the special-order features provided to NSFL

-Vintage Firearms thought so much of the gun we had Turnbull Restorations provide proper bone and charcoal case color that is historically correct to the original Parker shotguns.

-Vintage Firearms added a proper mullered border to the Reproduction checkering pattern, again to be historically correct when compared to an original Parker DHE gun.

The set was shipped with a set of 26” SK1/SK2 barrels and a set of 28” M/F barrels with 3” chambers.  Both retain 99% factory blue and mirror shiny bores and fit tight on hinge and breech face like a new gun.  THIS IS A “VFI CERTIFIED GUN”, meaning we stripped the forend iron and receiver to the smallest parts, ran it through the Ultrasonic cleaner, inspected all parts for integrity and function, then lubricated and reassembled (a $450 service).  VFI CERTIFIED guns carry a 90-day mechanical warranty.  The mechanics are all excellent, screws perfect, as is the wood to metal fit.  The wood is stunning, with a hand-rubbed oil finish showing just a few tiny handling marks. The case has the original Parker Repro snap caps, accessories, and the factory instruction book.  Please examine the photos and the specifications shown below.  You will see a  valuable, unique, and useful Parker Reproduction set up for the grouse/woodcock/quail woods with the 26” barrels, or heavier loads and tighter chokes for your pheasants and other harder to kill birds at a distance with the 28” barrels.  She would fare equally well on the clays course.  THERE IS NOTHING NEEDED TO BE DONE TO THIS GUN SHORT OF TAKING HER AFIELD.  The only time you will ever see such a gorgeous Repro DHE 20ga. and we have priced the gun fairly for a fully VFI serviced, Turnbull case colored, two-barrel set with killer wood in the original factory case.  NICE!  Thanks for looking.
