Description
General Specs: Browning, Year 1969, 20 Gauge, 6lbs. 12oz., Chokes IC/M; M/F, LOP 14 15/16″, DAH 2 1/4″, DAC 1 1/2″ Serial Number: 54459V9 The Browning Superposed was the first prominent over/under introduced to the USA. Beginning in 1931, the Superposed action has been used in the field and at gun clubs with over 90 years of proven, rock-solid performance. These are hand-fitted, quality guns made one at a time by skilled craftsman that are a dying breed. This fine Pigeon Grade Superposed 20ga. was built as a versatile factory 2-barrel set; set #1 26 ½” IC/M, set #2 28” M/F, making it a field and clays gun that will handle nearly every shotgunning task to be had in America. Cased in a Browning hard case, the gun is in superb original condition with 98% factory finishes remaining and a few light handling marks in the finish. The gun wears a recoil pad with 14 15/16” LONG LOP. The Pigeon Grade came from the factory with nice hand cut engraving, deep chiseled oak leaf engraving in the top of the action, pigeons in flight, and nice floral bouquets on the bottom. The Pigeon Grade also came with nicely figured walnut stocks, and this gun will not disappoint in that department as it has nicely figured wood. This is a great upland gun that is balanced to perfection and light enough to carry all day afield. With the factory 3” chambers you can even chase tough game with magnum loads. With only about 2200 total production of the 20ga. Pigeon Grade Superposed, the value of Superposed guns continues to climb, so you can invest in this gun and enjoy its use as it gains value. We have priced this gun to sell and if you are the new owner, you will have instant equity in a versatile Belgium made Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade factory 2-barreled set. Thanks for looking!
